Melford in Bloom are a group of volunteers supported by the Parish Council. The group was created in lockdown to encourage pride in the community, promoting wellbeing and to encourage tourists and visitors back to the village, post lockdown. All members of the community are welcome to join and become involved. The working group comprises of seven members of the public and three Councillors. The group meets at least twice a year to discuss Spring and Winter planting, watering schedule and general maintenance of the planters and flowers. The working group members play an active part in sourcing funding, via local business sponsorship for this project but as it is a Parish Council working group the Council allocates a yearly budget to enable the project to continue.
